VELTEK's new DVSM solution is the VELTEK VANGUARD, which represents the strength of digital technology. Developed to address the growing needs involved in transmitting and monitoring facilities over a network, the VELTEK VANGUARD incorporates an unprecedented combination of compression methods: MPEG4, MJPEG and H.263 in one box. In so doing, the VELTEK VANGUARD gives the end-user the opportunity to customize a comprehensive digital streaming and storage solution to existing settings or the tools to design a complete system which best addresses the application requirements. In addition to stunning performance in image streaming and storage, the VELTEK VANGUARD has an extremely user-friendly interface which allows the system administrator to customize the VANGUARD. The VELTEK VANGUARD can be programmed to display or mask different cameras to accommodate covert surveillance in a portion of the facility. Backups can be made to AVI files, burned onto a compact disc via the built-in CD-Writer and viewed by widely-distributed programs such as Microsoft's Windows Media Player, eliminating the need to install client server software to view these files. Authentification software installed in the VELTEK VANGUARD places a watermark on the backup, along with a date/time stamp, making the captured images an important evidentiary tool. On top of the elementary features required by the customer, such as motion detection, video channel masking, pre/post alarm recording, event-triggered recording, PTZ control, LAN/WAN readiness, the VANGUARD scalable architecture allows for cost-effective field upgrades and integration revisions.
